Tricia George has been working as a professional artist for 30 years. She has produced murals that can be seen in the Albuquerque Balloon Museum, Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, as well as numerous works in private residencies. Tricia recently relocated to Placitas after working in Marin County CA for the past 15 years, to pursue her desire to publish a series of picture books, as well as continue her career as a professional artist. You can see her work on her website: www.triciageorge.com or www.fineartforkidz.com follow her on Instagram @triciageorgeartist.
Tricia says, “I see myself as a mixed media artist not containing her art to only acrylics and a paintbrush.” She loves embedded elements into her metallic plasters, mica powders, resin and gilding. Tricia sees artists with an endless supply of possibilities as artists have access to more materials than the masters had access to. She has taught her techniques in group settings as well as in private classes for the past 15 years. Her current works are painted on wood panels that are troweled with plasters adorning quaint critters, that have become the theme for her book publications.
