My landscape watercolor paintings depict the ordinary everyday life in New Mexico. I try to convey a sense of peace and tranquility that I experience living in the desert, valuing the places and things around me. I try not to paint everything that I see and only want to give the viewer an impression of a moment in time. Where I live it is common to see the early morning sky dotted with hot air balloons, and it seems only natural to include them in my paintings.
